On January 31, Jiang Yikang, secretary of the CPC Shandong Provincial Committee and chairman of the Standing Committee of the Shandong Provincial People’s Congress, led heads of relevant departments directly under the Shandong Provincial People’s Government to Sinotruk for a visit. Chairman and Party Secretary Ma Chunji and President Cai Dong of Sinotruk briefed the visitors on Sinotruk’s development in 2011 and work plan for 2012.

At 11 AM, accompanied by Wang Min, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Shandong Provincial Committee and secretary of the CPC Jinan Municipal Committee; Lei Jianguo, secretary general of the CPC Shandong Provincial Committee; and Yang Luyu, deputy secretary of the CPC Jinan Municipal Committee and acting mayor of the Jinan Municipal People’s Government, Jiang headed to Sinotruk Jinan Power Co., Ltd. to visit and investigate its MAN engine production line. Ma and Jiang introduced the layout and planning of the line, the progress of the MAN project, production performance and other information.

During the visit, Jiang looked carefully, inquiring about the advantage and the global technical level of MAN engines every now and then. When learning MAN plays a world leading role in quality and technical level and is up to Euro III to V standards, Jiang was delighted and nodded with smiles. Also, he frequently asked Ma and Cai around him about the details of the enterprise’s production technologies and orders. When being told the enterprise has got overflowing orders early this year, is running at full capacity and seizing the market opportunity for a flying start, Jiang smiled approvingly.

Also, Jiang shook hands with Phillip, MAN’s resident expert in Sinotruk who was working on the production line, thanking him for his contribution to Sinotruk’s development.

The provincial committee and government pin great hope on Sinotruk’s development and will continue to offer strong support, Jiang said, encouraging Sinotruk to introduce advanced foreign technologies and update equipment through strategic cooperation, thus accomplishing the high-end development of technologies and products and dominating in market competition. Sinotruk should perfect its innovation system, increase R & D input, improve its capacity for technological innovation, raise its innovation level, give full play to its scale and agglomeration effects, endeavor to grow stronger and make more contributions to economic and social development.
