On August 14, a 22-member delegation composed of home and overseas media had a special interview of energy-saving and emission-reduction at SINOTRUK Jinan Fuqiang Power Co., Ltd.  They were very interested in SINOTRUK engine reproduction.

Mr. Cai Dong, Executive Director and President of SINOTRUK, briefed what SINOTRUK does to develop engine reproduction, setting foot on technical innovation and realizing energy saving and consumption reduction and answered questions from the correspondents.

The visit of the delegation was sponsored by National Development and Reform Commission and the State Council Information Office jointly.  The correspondents in the delegation were from Xinhua News Agency, CCTV, China Daily, Chinese News Agency, the USA, Japan, Europe, HONG KONG and Macao.

With the company of Mr. Cai Dong, the delegation visited the showroom of reproduced engines, disassembly line, machining line and general assembly line. After they saw the engines be thoroughly repaired and become reproduced engines meeting the quality standard of new engines by professional processing, correspondents got a personal cognition on recycling economy of manufacturing industry.

As Jinan Fuqiang Power Co., Ltd. is updating the engine reproduction technology, it’s also promoting actively the application of reproduced engines. It sold 2,863 units in 2005, 3,867 units in 2006 and 3,743 units in first half of 2007. In these two and half years, the energy quantity it saved is equivalent about 5,906,000 kwh, and 139.8 ton CO2 emission was reduced.
