On June 9, 2009 “Crossing Eurasian Continent and Visiting the Silk Road” International Automobile Tourism Culture Festival as well as the ceremony of handing over of Sinotruk trucks was held in Jinan.

The activity was held by Shandong Travel Bureau and Shandong Travel Association together and the fleet will set out from Shandong, the eastern bridgehead of Eurasian continent and go to Amsterdam, the western bridgehead of Eurasian continent, crossing China, Kazakhstan, Russian, White Russian, Poland, Germany and Holland, with a coverage of 15,000 kilometers. Sinotruk donated two prolonged Howo 6х4 heavy truck chassis which will be modified to organize Sinotruk SATA expedition truck team.

Cao xuecheng, honorary chairman of Shadong Automobile Travel Association, Nai Zhengyu, deputy director of Shandong Travel Bureau and Yu Youde, vice president of Sinotruk attended the ceremony.

On the ceremony, Li Pengxing, manager of the market department of Sinotruk donated truck keys to the organizer and Shandong Travel Bureau awarded strategic cooperation certificate to Sinotruk.

It’s said that trucks in this activity were equipped with HOWO modification chassis and it’s the first domestic multi-purpose long distance heavy camping truck integrating taking on, sleeper, kitchen and washroom together.
